Caring Connections

Vivalon has partnered with LITA (Love is the Answer) to offer a new in-home friendly visitor program. Caring Connections matches older residents with local Marin County volunteers for weekly chats and friendship in the comfort of older adults’ homes. The visits are generally 30 to 45 minutes long and will continue for at least six months.

Vivalon has been providing services to Marin County’s older adults for 65 years, including almost 30 years of in-home services, such as meal delivery. www.vivalon.org LITA has been connecting volunteer friends with residents in Marin’s long-term care facilities for 45 years. www.litamarin.org We have combined our expertise to develop Caring Connections so that older adults who are aging-in-place have access to vital social connections.
