Capoeira in partnership with Abada Capoeira Marin
Wednesdays; 3-4pm; $8/10; Registration suggested
Capoeira begins with a gentle warm up, followed by a series of acrobatic, martial art movements, for individuals and partners, building strength, balance and agility. These movements are led by the rhythm on the berimbau, Capoeira’s lead instrument.
Citizenship Prep Class
Resuming Week of February 4 – May 8; Wednesdays; 3:30pm-4:45pm
Fee: Sign up before February 1 and get a $5 discount $35/$40; after February 4 pay full price $40/$45
Naturalization is the process to voluntarily become a U.S. citizen if you were born outside of the United States. In general, you may be eligible if you can show continuous U.S. residence for three to five years, are at least 18 years old, and demonstrate good moral character and loyalty to the U.S. Constitution. If you are currently studying for your Citizenship Exam and need additional support, join us for our weekly class.
ACASA
The HOPE Program, Senior peer counseling and ACASA is a group of volunteer Spanish speaking senior peer counselors (services also available in English). Trained counselors have supportive counseling skills and provide weekly home visits to their clients, offering free and confidential emotional support.
