Whistlestop Nourish

Whistlestop Nourish delivers food to people in Marin County suffering from chronic or life-threatening illnesses. Thanks to a partnership with ExtraFood and dedicated volunteer drivers, Nourish provides up to seven meals each week, with three delivery days. Anyone living in Marin County with a chronic or life-threatening illness, of any age, in need of home-delivered meals, is eligible for Nourish. 3. How often can I receive this service?

Meals are delivered 3 times per week, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

4. What does it cost?

We ask for a suggested contribution of $3.50 per meal to help keep this vital nutrition program sustainable. Service will not be denied if you are unable to contribute. We provide a monthly contribution request letter for you to respond to. Your contribution can either be mailed to Whistlestop or given to your driver. A friend or family member can also donate on your behalf.

5. What type of meal service do you provide?

We provide up to 7 meals per week. Meals are delivered chilled and should be refrigerated immediately after they are received, and then consumed within 3 days. Where you live in the county will determine the time of day your meals will be delivered.

6. Are vegetarian and other diet-specific meal options available?

No, not at this time.

7. Do you publish a menu?

No. Since the menu changes based on what is available to us, we cannot publish a menu ahead of time.

8. Can the drivers leave the meals if I have to go out?

Yes, if you leave a cooler with ice packs outside your door, our volunteers will leave the meals inside the cooler.

9. Can the drivers bring my meals inside?

Yes, the drivers are happy to bring your meals inside.
