2014 A Day of 60’s Music and Fun at Rancho Nicasio

Sunday, September 28, 2014 Rancho Nicasio • 1 Old Rancheria Road • Nicasio 2014 Line Up: Big Brother and the Holding Company. This special 1960’s themed benefit concert celebrated Marinites over 60 who are still giving so much back to our community! For the second year, we brought legendary performers to the intimate stage and lawn at the Rancho Nicasio Bar and Restaurant, a popular venue for live music and good times with friends. It was a little bit of the Woodstock spirit shared for one fine afternoon in Marin.

Groovin’ At Whistlestock: 1 Day of Joy & Music

On Sept. 28, a crowd of 500 music fans, ranging from grayhairs to grandkids, traveled out to the tiny west Marin town of Nicasio for a benefit called Whistlestock. The four-and-a-half-hour concert was a fundraiser for Whistlestop, a San Rafael-based nonprofit that has been caring for the needs of older people in Marin since 1954. This year marks its 60th anniversary.
